Booking a Stripper - What to Expect!
|
Most professional male strippers will be used to performing in front of a large audience on a regular basis. The venues that they play in will typically have a specially arranged changing area for artistes and a reasonably large stage area on which they can perform. In such circumstances the typical male strip show will last somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes in length. The audience can sometimes number in the hundreds. However, an increasing number of bookings are ‘private’
bookings. That is to say for example, a small private hen night, a birthday,
a leaving do, or some other special occasion. Few of the people who book
these events have any idea what to expect. Let this be a brief guide to
help you : |
Firstly, decide whether you require a full strip or a gentle routine down to a g-string. Make sure you inform your stripper of your requirements. He may offer you a small discount if you only require a routine to a g-string. However, he is unlikely to oblige, or be very amused if you change your mind halfway through his act. If you require your stripper to turn up to a pub or a restaurant to surprise his victim, check this is ok with the pub/restaurant owner. Some of them do not welcome strippers and even those that do may not allow full nudity. Your stripper may be able to circumnavigate these restrictions by the careful use of a towel thus displaying the goods to the intended victim only and not the rest of the establishment. Again, however, keep the stripper informed. Also, the chances are the stripper will be getting changed in the toilets. It might be courteous to offer to mind his bag whilst he performs the act rather then risk leaving them in the toilets only to find he has no clothes to get changed back into ! Please be aware that strippers distinguish between a (stripper) gram and a show. A show is the afore mentioned 15+ minute act on a large stage. By contrast, a gram is the surprise a victim in a restaurant variety. Please understand that the latter will be a much shorter affair than the former. For starters, if you request a strip to a g-string only, the chances are you have already knocked nearly five minutes off any given routine. Furthermore, whilst performing for your surprised friend, he will be working in somewhat cramped conditions, certainly not what he is used to. The chances are that there will not be room to perform his break-dance routine, his fire swallowing, the swash-buckling sword manoeuvres or most other gimmicks that you care to mention. Most restaurant owners will also be extremely unamused if he starts liberally throwing around an assortment of water, baby oil, foam soap, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or any other condiments that may be used in his stage act. Essentially, the platform he will be playing from is somewhat restricted. Therefore, his act will be much shorter than normal. Furthermore, your stripper will be used to performing a routine to his specially cut music. Many restaurants/clubs/pubs either do not have the facilities to play music or are simply unwilling to deviate from their own music. Again, it may be wise to ask if they will accommodate in this area. For example, I was once asked to perform a strip looking like George Michael, but the club point blank refused to play any George Michael music. One way around these difficulties is to arrange for the stripper to come to your house and perform in your living room. This instantly bypasses the nudity regulations. His act is still unlikely to be full length as you will presumably not want him to liberally sprinkle his array of condiments all over your carpets and furniture ! However, you will more than likely receive something closer to the stage act and therefore get more value for your money. In my experience these are a far better buy for the client. Often the victim is surprised prior to the gang of friends going out for the evening. Regarding pricing, the typical fee these days is around £110. Your stripper will expect this to be paid in cash on the night unless you arrange otherwise. Expect to pay more than that if booking is through an agent. If the fee is much less than that the chances are that the stripper is not a professional who works the regular circuit. Also, if you are in a far flung location, obviously expect to pay a little more. Your stripper will have to drive to wherever you are, which means extra fuel and therefore extra cost. Your stripper will no doubt have a variety of costumes and acts, check with him when you book. If you have a particular theme for which he hasn’t got a costume, he may be able to put something together at short notice. Additionally, book your stripper as far ahead as possible. If you phone up the day before, the chances are he will be booked elsewhere (although if you are flexible on time he may be able to accommodate you sometime that evening). However, if he is already booked he may be able to refer you to a reliable colleague or a good agent with whom he has worked before. Also, if you are making your enquiry via e-mail always include your phone number. Strippers unfortunately attract a lot of attention from unwanted stalkers or pests. Most of these manifest themselves through anonymous e-mails or text messages. These pests begin by masquerading themselves as potential bookers before graduating to more sinister requests. By leaving your phone number off an e-mail, the stripper will immediately be suspicious of your intentions. He will be aware that sometimes discretion is required, because for example, the victim could answer the phone. Just make the stripper aware of these concerns in the e-mail. Finally, remember if you don’t ask you don’t get. I have received requests that are extremely varied. These range from gently surprising an 83 year old lady on her birthday to kick starting a party for a gang of hard core swingers ! All requests are respectfully considered. If I can’t help I will recommend somebody that can. Sexecute xx |
